The first half of August will have an opposing flavour, which may trigger feelings of should I, or should I not. We have the Sun and Mercury in exact conjunction being opposed by Saturn, we also have a Mars and Jupiter opposition. The second half of the month will be smoother, and bring more clarity to act.
New Moon in Cancer in the nakshatra of Ashlesha on August 8
The Moon will join the Sun at 22º Cancer, at approximately 3 pm UTC. This can feel like a very emotionally draining time. The ruling planet of Ashlesha, mercury is in gandanta at this point. And the moon itself, ruler of Cancer, is being opposed by Saturn, and combust by the Sun, as is the case on all Amavasya periods in the month. So, the light is dim, and therefore, it represents a better time to reflect than act.
Mercury is associated with intelligence and the Moon is associated with the emotional, changeable, perception-based mind. In Ashlesha, the ability to see beyond the material and the surface is high, and we can make calculative decisions if we are able to silent the mind. Mercury Transits Leo from August 8 till August 26
Hours after the new Moon, Mercury moves into Leo. Mercury in Leo joins Mars, and this may feel uncomfortable. Mars in Leo is very strong here, being boosted by Jupiter’s aspect. Mercury is inimical to Mars, and so this can stir fiery energy further, and the toxic thoughts that were aroused in Cancer could result in fights and arguments here.
The ability to forge ahead and achieve your goals is strong when Mercury and Mars. Mars is action, and Mercury is planning. Venus Transits Virgo from August 11 till September 5

Post August 25, When Mercury joins Venus, we can feel a supportive Venus transit that will aid in making the right connections, and maintaining vitality.
