August will be all about retracing our steps, a good time for reflection, lots of changes for fire signs. And if you have something prominent in ashlesha nakshatra, its a month that can bring swift endings for you.
August starts the month with Mars, Mercury and Venus in Leo. On the very first day of the month, we have a full moon in Shravan in Capricorn at approx 15 degrees. This is a good moon cycle to get your tasks accomplished – see where Cap/Cancer angle falls in your chart to see where you can be productive. There are no aspects whatsoever to this full moon cycle, which is a good omen for a peaceful start.
On Aug 7, we have the first planetary shift of the month, as Venus returns to Cancer going thru the gandanta points again, in Ashlesha. Venus will now retrace its steps in Cancer and remain here till early October. Venus is in combustion for approx 10 days, from Aug 7 till Aug 17. It’s a time to reflect and you may be going back to complete unfinished tasks depending on where Cancer falls in your chart. It’s a more peaceful transit for Venus as now it is outside of the gaze of Mars, Saturn, and Rahu.
On the morning of Aug 16, we have another new moon in Cancer, we had one in mid July in Punarvasu. This one is the gandanta degree of Cancer in Ashlesha. With Venus close by – there is lots of focus on domestic matters, home, rels, family events. Communications can be very emotional now, it’s a time for letting go of unhealthy attachments
The next day on Aug 17 we have the sun’s movement into its own sign of Leo. This is a comfortable spot for the Sun, here it is with friends moon and mercury for the first few days. But also the aspect of Saturn.
Then we see Mars moving into Virgo on Aug 18 till Oct 3rd. Here Mars will aspect Jupiter rather than the other way around, also will connect with Rahu via aspect. We have another Mercury retro transit starting Aug 23 till Sep 15 prolonging its stay in Leo.
