July will feel easier than the past few months as all the planets are in dignity now.  With the exception of one event taking place that may bring some chaos, the Rahu-Mars conjunction. The entire month will build up to this conjunction that goes exact the last day of July and into the first two days of August.

Mercury zips through Gemini and Cancer from July 2 till July 31

Mercury moves into its own sign of Gemini on July 2nd and will stay till July 16.  This is a short stay in its own sign. Here with Mercury powerfully placed, we can re-establish connections, organize our business and finances, prepare for any learning activities. Also, a good time to catch up on errands and lingering tasks

From July 16 till July 31, Mercury transits through Cancer – here it receives the aspect of Saturn as well as Jupiter.  This makes Cancer highly charged to give results now.  You could see yourself managing a lot of domestic affairs at this time.  Domestic life could be busy – you may also have to entertain relatives and friends unexpectedly. It will be a busy month for socialising in general

Saturn Returns to Capricorn on July 12

Then on July 12th, Saturn returns to Capricorn till Jan 17, 2023.  We may now feel scarcity, esp in the areas that are represented by Capricorn in your chart.  It’s a time to re-assess how we meet our basic needs – especially related to domestic life and career.  Govts will again assert their power, and thus, there could be financial corrections of all sorts now.  See the video upload on you tube for further information.

Full Moon in Sagittarius on July 13

The following eve on July 13, we have the full moon in Sagittarius in the nakshatra of Uttara Ashada.  This is a good time for travel, socialising, catching up with friends.  Connections of all sorts can be fulfilling, as we have Mercury and Venus in Gemini aspecting this full moon.

As well, with Rahu’s aspect on the full moon in Sagittarius, which is a mutable sign, we can look forward to life speeding up.  Uttara Ashada, where the full moon is taking place can help you go deeper into a matter, you can uncover some truths now, this is especially the case with Rahu’s aspect from Bharani.

See where Sag falls in your chart to get a hint in what area of life you will be impacted.  This moon is also getting a trinal aspect from Uranus so expect some upbeat surprises now esp due to the aspect of Mercury and Venus here too.

Venus transits Gemini from July 13 till August 7

Venus in Gemini encourages making connections, any social pursuits, small talk, making friends, getting out of your routine will be good now.  This is a smooth transit for Venus, unobstructed by any malefic influences.

Sun transits Cancer from July 16 till August 17

The Sun will be in Cancer from July 16 till Aug 17.  This can be a sobering transit for the Sun as it is getting Saturn’s direct aspect.  But here, Sun will be getting Jupiter’s aspect too which may balance the situation.  Sun and Jupiter have a compatible relationship as both planets are inspiring and encourage us to connect with the spark within us, our soul purpose.

So, with both Jupiter and Saturn aspecting the Sun, this can be a time when you will be pondering your life path, and it would be a good time to set some new goals.  It’s also a good time to connect with others, esp your family, they may be able to provide good advice.  This is a good transit for Cancer and Leos.

New Moon in Cancer on July 28

In the evening hours of July 28, we have a new moon in Cancer in the nakshatra of Pushya. This new moon gets the aspect of a strong Saturn and a very strong Jupiter.  This is again impacting Cancer and will be an important moon cycle for all the water signs.

It is in pushya, and the moon will be in its own sign of Cancer, with Mercury receiving a direct gaze of Saturn.  With Mercury and Saturn in exact opposition this could be a time of serious contemplation.   You will be also directly impacted if you have planets in Can/Cap angle.

This issue that you are dealing with could be something that is pending from Jan this year, when we had a full moon in this axis with Saturn’s direct aspect.

Jupiter goes retrograde from July 28 till November 23

Very shortly after this new moon, when the moon starts to wax, Jupiter turns retrograde in its own sign of Pisces, where it is now being aspected by Saturn.  Jupiter moving retrograde means a time to slow down with matters connected to Pisces in your chart.  Also, a great time to reflect on such matters

The days before and after a retro cycle are the most intense and so easy to harness this reflective and receptive energy now.  This is especially the case as on the same day we have a new moon in Cancer.

Mars transit in Aries and Angaraka Yoga

Mars started its transit in Aries on June 27th and stays till Aug 11.

Mars is confident and assured in Aries so great time to take bold initiatives, start something new, take steps toward meeting your goals.  This is an especially good transit for all the fire signs, including Aries, Leo, and Sag.

Late on the 31st, we see a Mars and Rahu conjunction becoming exact on that day, and into Aug 1 and 2.  The formation of a conjunction between Rahu and Mars is known as the Angarak Yoga.  Angarak is simply another name for Mars – the direct translation is:  born from the limb of Shiva or born from Fire.  So, this conjunction can bring out the destructive energy quite similar to the Rudra form of Shiva.  The word ‘Angar’ is fire, which is Mars.   And Rahu, the shadow planet, can be taken to be the oil that fuels the fire.

The english word “anger” comes from it – which is in essence fire that has gone out of control – though in and of itself Fire is not at all negative.  In fact, it is necessary not only for survival but to open up the channels of spiritual awareness.  So this conjunction can give you the energy and ability to tirelessly pursue that which you desire.

It also gives formidable fighting capacity but needs to be used in a strategic way.  To use this conjunction effectively, you have to be more mindful of Rahu’s position first. So the temptation to act, charge ahead and conquer is strong with Mars, especially in Aries.

But rather, if you form an intent, then do nothing, and then act, the results can be formidable. When you do nothing, are still mindful of your goal and can resonate with the mars vibration which in Aries is at top peak

But if you go with the Mars impulse and ignore Rahu, then the results will be unpredictable as they are with Rahu –  as well as self-destructive.  The reason is that in essence this conjunction expresses and manifests the Rudra energy.  This is the impulse to destroy – which itself is not bad, the question is however what are you destroying?

If used with strategy, it can be a powerful time to achieve our goals.  In Aries, it can mean making plans and self-orientated goals – there is an emphasis on fulfilment of goals – and a focus on self-driven goals toward material progress

Overall the month starts off quite light and ends with a bang.  If you have personal planets in the Aries/Libra or Cancer/Cap axis you will feel these transits directly.
