Similar to last month, March continues with the Kaal Sarp and Sankhya yug yogas, and thus, continues to be a complex month for relationships. By mid-March, we can experience a positive shift with an optimistic full moon, as well as Mars and Venus’ shift into Shravan. The tides continue to bring more transformation to the status quo, especially with relationships.
New Moon in Aquarius on March 2
New moon takes place in Aquarius in the nakshatra of Shatabishak at approx 18 degrees close to Jupiter. This new moon phase will feel much lighter than last month.
It is getting only the benefic aspect of Jupiter, nakshatra and ruling planet Rahu is also strong and well placed in Taurus. This is an excellent time to start something new, especially if it’s a new routine or habit. Jupiter moves into Purva Bhadrapada on March 2nd. Purva Bhadra is essentially Rudra energy – showing tremendous struggle before success. The transit through this nakshatra marks a good time to cultivate new habits, especially starting a new routine.
We are still operating under the kaal sarp phenomenon so for many people, there may be a lingering feeling of uncertainty, impacting the areas of life where Capricorn and Aquarius fall in your chart. With the sankhya yug yoga also still in operation till March 3rd, this could compound the uncertainty. This can translate into a feeling of hopelessness and pessimism connected to areas signified by these two houses.
Venus continues its transit in Capricorn till March 31
At this time, we are still experiencing the conjunction with Mars and Venus, which is exact now. As well as a combust Jupiter that is exactly conjunct with the Sun
Venus is now flanked between Saturn and Mars. This is not a favourable transit for Taurus or Libra. All relationship matters can suffer, and confrontations will likely continue to rise. And, there could also be coldness, distance and separation in relationships now. This serious, heavy tone will continue till April because there is a lot of concentration in Saturn’s signs of Capricorn and Aquarius till then.
We often look toward the benefics like Venus and Jupiter to balance out the heaviness in a chart however, they are both in a compromised position. Mercury can however help lighten the mood so keep communications open and keep them as light and easy as possible
Mercury transits Aquarius from March 6 till March 24
On Mar 6, we see Mercury moving away from Saturn and into Aquarius toward a conjunction with Jupiter. You can start to see some progress now with all matters signified by mercury in your chart. Mercury activities can get a boost at this time, writing, networking, marketing, planning, and strategizing. This is also a good time to spend with friends.
New relationships could be sprouting at this time but there would be a lot of hesitation to develop new connections. This is especially true with Rahu aspecting Capricorn. This can exaggerate and augment relationship issues at this time.
Mars continues its transit in Capricorn till April 6
This is a strong transit for Mars, in its sign of exaltation, but this time, it is a bit more complex than usual, with the presence of Venus and Saturn. But nonetheless, it can be a productive time for many.
For Leo and Cancer ascendants, this is a good time to face matters with confidence as your yoga karaka planet Mars, in Capricorn can provide insight into relationship, health, as well as work matters. You will see some progress in these areas, where you may have had long pending problems or felt stuck for a while. Solutions will present themselves to you though you may want to time your action as Mars is moving toward a conjunction with Saturn. By early April, after this conjunction, all paths are clear in these matters.
Once again, things will start to lighten up around Mar 11 when the Kaal Sarp yoga gets broken by the monthly moon transit. The intense conjunctions of Mars/Venus and Jupiter/Sun are beginning to dissolve now as well. By March 12, Venus and Mars move into Shravan nakshatra. This will bring an easier energy for relationships, as there will be more tolerance now and an open mind, so it’s a good time to discuss any pending issues. Though relationships will still likely undergo some shifts. The ones with rocky foundations may not survive. Cancer, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Scorpio will feel this most intensely.
Sun moves into Pisces on March 15 till April 14
On March 15, the sun makes its monthly move, and this time into Pisces. This is normally a good place for the Sun as it performs well in Pisces and is nearing its exaltation sign of Aries.
Jupiter rules Pisces, with whom there is a friendly relationship. Though here Sun will get the aspect of a very strong Saturn. This may bring doubts and low confidence for some, especially Leos. If you are planning to do something new and start afresh you may meet with some obstacles now.
It’s a great transit for Gemini as the Sun moves into your 10th house. Sun will be moving alone so this is positive and your plans can see some movement though with Saturn’s gaze progress may be slower than you like.
Full Moon in Virgo on March 18
In the early morning hours of Mar 18th we have a full moon in approx 3 degrees of Virgo in the nakshatra of Uttara Phalguni. This full moon is aspected by Rahu and connects with Mercury via house placement and Sun via nakshatra. Uttara Phalguni is associated with companionship, and enjoying good times with others.
Operating on a higher level, it signifies philanthropy and charity so it’s a good time to get involved in charitable acts. It may be a good time to reconcile with close partners if that is a possibility at this time.
There is an exact trine with Pluto and Moon at this time leading to highly emotional connections. This moon phase can also bring secretive affairs being Mercury is situated in Shatabisha connecting with Rahu.
With both Pluto and Rahu connecting with the moon, and Venus still between Saturn and Mars, you could see some unexpected relationship developments at this time. Out of the blue type of scenarios can shake things up in your relationships. This is especially true if you have a lot of planets in earth signs. It’s a very emotionally charged full moon. But with Mercury well placed with Jupiter you could finally get a lot out in the open with relationship matters and be ready to move on
Now would be a good time to get things out in the open because on Mar 24th Mercury becomes debilitated making communications difficult and ripe for misunderstandings. Mercury remains debilitated in the sign of Pisces from Mar 24th till April 8.
Relationships continue to suffer but career could take off
Venus is approaching Saturn which may result in a cooling-off period. This conjunction goes exact on March 28. At the same time, there is a Moon/Mars conjunction in Capricorn as well. This does not bode well for relationships and can bring beaks and separation. Relationships will continue to go through a deep transformation till April end. But you could make positive progress in career matters now especially if you have planets in Capricorn or are going through a Capricorn dasha.
Venus will finally leave Capricorn and move into Aquarius on 31 March. But even here Venus being in Dhanistha still continues to connect to Mars so relationship challenges will continue for some. Many people may be more focused on building foundations and let relationships take a back seat for this reason. And this would be a good time to do so.
Because the material imbalances would have become unbearable for many at this time. And since we are talking about Capricorn, for many this could signify the basic necessities in life. But with Mars and Saturn dignified, we can come up with solutions and forge ahead to build our lives back up. Overall, it can be similar to last month with relationship uncertainty but you can make some progress with career matters as Mars is exalted and Saturn is in dignity.
